Edusuite Goes Nationwide as Schools Face New Normal

AI-driven school management solutions provider, Edusuite, goes nationwide as it signs up 3 schools across the Philippines’ major island groups: the Sacred Heart Academy in Pasig City (Luzon), the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City (Visayas), and the Joji Ilagan Bian Career Foundation Center in Davao City and General Santos City (Mindanao).

These new partners add to their growing roster of prestigious schools that include the Ateneo de Manila University, CIIT College of Arts and Technology, King’s College of the Philippines, and Sumulong College of Arts and Sciences among others.

With cloud-based solutions such as online enlistment, enrollment, and payment of tuition fees, Edusuite comes at the right time for these schools as they, and the rest of the world, quickly confront changes brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic and adjust to the “new normal”. Procedures that would normally be face-to-face, such as enlisting, administration, and class lectures, are no longer possible.

Joan Marie Antonio, Executive Vice President of Benedictine International School (BIS), expresses difficulties they face during the quarantine period: “There are a lot of challenges in operating under quarantine and the new normal. All our teachers are now working from home and have to be trained to use apps for our Online Learning Program. ”

“As educators, we are entrusted with the responsibility to ensure that there is no student left behind whether they have the devices or the connectivity,” says Patricia K. Mauricio from Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig, which has also adopted similar measures as BIS. On licensing Edusuite, they “realized we needed to adjust quickly to this new normal and find a reputable School Management System provider to assist us with our immediate needs.”

Edusuite helps make these new adjustments possible for these schools, as their system helps school administrators manage their school remotely, while simultaneously prioritizing the health and safety of its staff and students.

“Edusuite is well equipped to support schools remotely given robust documentation and a great support team and process,” says cofounder Niel Dagondon. “That is why we are able to support schools as far as Visayas and Mindanao.”

While he believes that the education sector is notoriously slow to change, Dagondon says, “The COVID-19 pandemic is a wake-up call for schools to adapt as fast as possible as many of them were caught unaware by this sudden shift to at-home work and learning. Many ‘nice-to-haves’ such as a cloud solution and learning management systems suddenly became a necessity. I can say that many schools are now rushing to digitally transform themselves for the coming school year.”

“The pandemic has made us all realize that much of what we do and teach before may not be relevant anymore as we transition to the new normal,” concludes Nicole Hao Bian, COO of Edusuite client Joji Ilagan International Schools. “We have always emphasized that teachers and learners should be knowledgeable about online tools/digital apps. Moving forward, it is unwise to go back to our pre-pandemic ways but instead, build on our capabilities and our students’ capabilities for them to be successful beyond school and in life.".
