Deans and IT Heads Convene for 10th ACED.PH; Edusuite Showcases All-in-One School Management System

BAGUIO CITY – The Association of Computing Education Deans and Program Heads, Inc. (ACED.PH) held its 10th General Assembly and Election of Officers from April 23 to 24, 2026, at the ION Hotel. Under the theme “Shaping the Future of IT Education: Policy-Driven Excellence and Innovation,” the event gathered approximately 56 academic leaders and industry partners to discuss the evolving landscape of Information Technology education in the Philippines.

The assembly opened on Day 1 with welcome remarks from Dr. Joey M. Suba, President of ACED.PH, who provided a historical overview of the organization’s milestones. Dr. Josan Tamayo, the Conference Chair, delivered the Statement of Purpose, emphasizing the necessity for academic heads to lead through collaborative research and innovative policy-making. 

Focus on Technology Infrastructure and ERP Solutions

A central highlight of the plenary sessions was a presentation by Austin Marquez, Solutions Consultant for Edusuite. In his talk, “Strengthening IT Education: Leveraging Technology Infrastructure for Academic Excellence,” Marquez addressed the administrative complexities faced by College of Information Technology (CIT) Deans and Program Heads.

The 10th anniversary marked a significant shift in the assembly’s traditional programming. For the first time in its history, ACED.PH hosted an official Awarding of Members and Gala Night. During the evening session, delegates donned Modern Filipiniana for a ceremony recognizing excellence in leadership and service among its members.
